ABOUT US
The Silo Wedding and Event Center is owned by Andy and Katie Petesch. They have both lived in Meriden for their whole lives. They started dating in high school and got married in 2002. At that time, they started raising quail, pheasant, and chukars as a hobby. Then decided after a few years to turn it into a business, and started Muddy Creek Game Birds. They started leasing some ground for hunters, built a lodge, and started raising a lot more birds. Katie and Andy have two daughters, Katelyn and Anna. The girls are beginning to start helping on the farm, picking up eggs, signing in hunters, and setting birds. There is always something for them to do.

In late 2019, Andy got a wild hair to purchase some ground that was for sale just south their home. The property offered close to 200 acres that would be great for their hunting business. However, this place also came with a brick home, several old barns, a gymnastics gym, and several other buildings. The property sat vacant for over 15 years, so needless to say, it needed a lot TLC. They loved the land, but needed to do something with the house and barns. That is when Andy decided he wanted to try a wedding venue. They are excited about the transformation of the property, as well as, working with couples starting on their new journey together.
